School leadership is about who you are not just what you do. At The Growth Network we believe that thriving school communities are built on the character of those who lead. That is why we support school staff, especially middle leaders, to grow in integrity and dignity. Leaders with integrity do a great job, those with dignity maintain a fulfilling personal life. When integrity and dignity combine leaders thrive and so do the schools they work in. Every Growth Network facilitator is an experienced school leader skilled at fostering resilience in your team so that each individual really does make all the difference.

The Growth Network adds the missing ingredient of leadership development, community. Facilitated peer support communities focus on the long term development of middle leaders as people, enabling them to act as peer coaches to apply their professional knowledge and training.
Community is central to our method because identifying what you want to do is a lot easier than achieving your goals. In a community leaders can support one another with empathy as they face similar experiences. Our facilitators are all school leaders who understand the challenges participants are facing and are able not only to act as coaches, mentors and guides but also to enable participants to become coaches and facilitators for one another.
Our core values are dignity and integrity. Dignity is about valuing the wellbeing of each leader, ensuring that staff members maintain a healthy focus on their personal lives. Leaders with integrity do the best possible job in their role no matter what their context. Leaders with both dignity and integrity thrive as they maintain a healthy balance between their personal and professional lives.
Resilience Communities are built on a core foundation. Each member begins by identifying and sharing their mission, values, objectives and habits. This enables participants to clarify their motivations and ensure that they focus on the right things.
Putting mission, values and objectives into practice requires healthy habits which need to grow over time. We share a small number of core habits which enable you to discover;
Membership of a Resilience Community is also membership of a much wider network of leaders in schools across the UK and beyond. By joining our community, members continue to access content, resources and events which promote resilience and build supportive relationships which can last for an entire career.
In an intense and demanding educational sector the wellbeing of staff is not just an Ofsted expectation but a necessity for a thriving school community. The growth and wellbeing of every member of your community rests on the wellbeing of staff, especially the middle leaders at the centre of so much of what you do.

Build relationships over time through face to face and online support communities and events.
Resilience Communities are small groups of school staff (ideally between 5 and 10) who meet on a regular basis to support one another's personal and professional growth. Communities begin with 5 sessions to introduce the practice and investigate your mission, values, objectives and habits before forming an ongoing community to support one another to put it into practice.
We work with community members to understand your mission, values and objectives. Then we help you put them into practice by developing healthy habits and peer support through your community. Resilience Communities begin with a 1 hour resilience session followed by 4 x 1 hour face to face sessions designed to lay the foundations of your future support community. Once your community is established you can receive ongoing inspiration and support through our online resources and communities.
